About NC Camera Club

The purpose of the Nevada County Camera Club is to promote the public enjoyment of traditional film and digital photography through education and cooperative efforts and good fellowship.

The NC Camera club has over 100 members with a variety of interests and experience in photography.

Meetings are held nine times a  year; January through May, July, September through November.  Meetings are both educational and enjoyable. Guest speakers give presentations on a variety of  photographic topics and exhibit their work.  The speaker then critiques members photographs.  Click on GALLERIES to see photographs submitted by members in past meetings. Photographs are submitted in a number of categories including Assigned subject which changes for each meeting.

Guests are welcome at our meetings.  Enjoy our photographs and join the club.

In addition to our regular meetings, the club has a picnic in June and a holiday dinner in December. In August, Camera club members assist at the Nevada County fair adult photography competition at the Tall Pines building. Members receive, set-up and man the photo exhibition.

The club is a member of PSA, Photographic Society of America. Twice a year we invite a PSA judge to speak and critique at our meetings.
